The founders of FarmTrack Technologies unveiled their FTV1 prototype — a system that will drastically alter the feedlot industry by detecting illness in cattle four-to-five days before visual symptoms appear.
“Our system is going to stop the spread of illness before it starts, which means farmers don’t can reduce the use of antibiotics. This will keep more money in their pockets and save them a significant amount of time,” says FarmTrack’s President, Chris Karasewich.
One of the key aspects of their solution is its sustainability.
“Once FTV1 is commercially available it will be the first affordable solution to maintain healthy herds.” says Karasewich, “I’m amazed at what our team has been able to accomplish. We’ve created something that’s going to have a huge impact, not only in beef cattle, but other livestock industries as well.”
Next week, FarmTrack’s founders will be hosting information seminars in Souris, Winkler, and Steinbach to display the latest in their technology advancement. Individuals interested in attending can find event locations, dates and times at www.farmtracktech.com/events, and can register here.
